Impact Method Editor

Overview

The Impact Method Editor allows users to add or modify Impact Methods, which contain a bundle of Impact Categories used to calculate impacts during results generation. An Impact Method is chosen within the settings of PyGREET, and is calculated based on the impacts defined within the Impact Methods Editor. For example, if an Impact Method with 5 Impact Categories is chosen, those 5 Impacts will be analyzed during results calculations.

The Impact Method Editor has only one tab, the General Information Tab.

Note

The Impact Method Editor does not have a Usage Tab, as Impact Methods are not used in any other entity in PyGREET.

General Information

The General Information section in the Impact Method Editor contains the name and notes of the Impact Method, which can be directly edited by the user.

Impact Categories Table

The Impact Categories table contains the Impact Categories chosen within an Impact Methods.

Adding Categories

  1. Click the + icon that appears when hovering over the Impact Categories subsection header
  2. Categories added to the table show the name, description, and reference unit of the Impact Category.

Important

Impact Categories cannot be edited in the Impact Methods Editor. They should instead be edited within the Impact Categories Editor
