Settings

Overview

The Settings menu lets the user configure application-wide preferences that govern how PyGREET behaves and displays information. It is opened by clicking the gear icon located in the left-side navigation bar.

General Settings

The General Settings section groups the most common application-wide options:

  • Target Year: Sets the reference year used across calculations and time-dependent parameters.
  • Heating Value: Selects whether energy calculations use the Lower Heating Value (LHV) or Higher Heating Value (HHV).
  • Impact Method: Defines the default life cycle impact assessment method (e.g., AR6/GWP-100) applied to results.
  • Result Precision: Controls the number of decimal digits shown in result displays.
  • Input Precision : Controls the number of decimal digits shwon in inputs.
  • UI Zoom: Adjusts the zoom level of the user interface for readability.

Note

Note that when setting the input precision, the full input value will always be shown when clicking into the input, or by hovering over the input box. Additionally, the full value will always be used during calculations.
